Cabarete is a small, laid-back Caribbean beach village located only 20 minutes away from the Puerto Plata International Airport. Cabarate is on the northern shore of the island country of the Dominican Republic. It’s a perfect remote holiday destination for the active traveller. It has a hip ambience and a combination of relaxed and adventurous lifestyles that is just amazing.
The village of Cabarete is spread out across the center of a large beautiful beach with a calm lagoon behind it and then backed up great hills and amazing tropical vegetation.
With the low-lying hills behind the village causing a unique thermal effect to the location of the offshore reef at the entrance of the bay where the trade winds usually blow in.
