The village of Cabarete is spread out across the center of a large beautiful beach with a calm lagoon behind it and then backed up great hills and amazing tropical vegetation.

With the low-lying hills behind the village causing a unique thermal effect to the location of the offshore reef at the entrance of the bay where the trade winds usually blow in. This combination of elements make Cabarate and awesome location for water-sports such as kiteboarding and windsurfing, but also for regular surfing at El Encuentro beach as well.

Grand Beach is located on Lake Winnipeg in Manitoba, Canada. Being a large lake with consistent north or south winds, its an ideal destination for Kiteboarding. Riders can launch from the east beaches and enjoy riding up and down in along the shore in both winter and summer. There are many locations on Lake Winnipeg for kite surfing.
