If your in Vancouver, BC and you are looking for a quiet Kayaking adventure, Bowen Island Sea Kayaking is an adventure for you. Bowen Island is just 45 minutes from downtown Vancouver, with a 20 minute relaxing ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay to Bowen, you are sure to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Once your off the Ferry you can rent your Kayak and take one of the many tours they offer. Some tours head north towards the magnificent mountain views of Whistler, while others paddle south to Apodoca Beach close to seals, eagles, and an undisturbed coastline. They ensure you will be given the necessary information to make your paddle in this beautiful location an experience you will want to repeat. Naturalist led Hikes can be added to your tour and follow a lagoon, a fish ladder and the Killarney Lake trail (2.3 KM).

Go backcountry with Backcountry Snowcats

Backcountry Snowcats is a Cat Skiing and Snowboarding operation hidden in British Columbia’s South Chilcotin Mountains just to the north of Whistler.

The weather here is colder and drier than nearby Whistler (30 kms away) but gets all of the same storm cycles. It snows on average 10m (32ft) of cold dry snow per season accumulating up to 3.5m (11.5ft) base, making the terrain prime for skiing and riding.
